700 years ago the wizards of Ren'Shada discovered how to create other worlds. Through transporters called 'portals' a gateway was made between Astroine and other worlds. Six were made, and they were named the realms. The ocean realm of Aquare, the desert realm of Afkzo, the swamp realm of Archinold, the arctic realm of Ayrias, the forest realm of Toria, and the mountain realm of Rashka. The realms were created to give Ren'shada's people a choice to live in different climate types. At this time the land was free and the portals were placed on open fields, so that citizens could come and go as they pleased. This era lasted for two hundred years and was known as the Age of Opportunity. At the time it was never known what exactly people would find inside the realms.

500 years ago while the wizards were experimenting with the portals, they had a want for different realms to create and explore. Only this time, rather than creating a brand new world, they made a gateway to a pre-existing realm. The realm of demons. War terrorized the land as demons continuously poured out of the portal and invaded Astroine and the six realms.

After a year of heated battle, 20 Astroine wizards were able to fight back some of the demons and get to the portal leading to the demon realm. There they witnessed the coming of a demon lord into the land of the Ren'Shada. Before the demon lord could adjust to the new world however the wizards used their magic to seal the portal and destroy it. Unfortunately, only 5 wizards survived the battle to tell about the partial victory. Enraged that their connection to their homeworld was destroyed, the demons fought and killed even more ferociously. They destroyed the land and the portals of the mountain and forest realms. Most of the land of the Ren'Shada was made into mountains. Fortunately because the link was gone, they were not as strong as before and were a little easier to defeat.

Then, as the legends go, a young warrior from Rashka arose from Astroine and repeatedly defeated the demons at important battle fronts. He was joined by 5 other fighters, one from each of the other realms. Not much is known about them, for their identities died with the age. These six heros drove the demons out of the four remaining realms. Around this time, the wizards who were remaining constructed a temple to place the 4 realm portals in, named the Hall of Portals.

In the final battle, the 6 heros defeated the demon lord and the wizards captured it. Unable to destroy the demon lord, the wizards constructed one last portal -one leading to a prison in the sky- and sent the demon lord and the rest of his minions through it. The Dark Portal. That was the last of the years of terror.

Two weeks ago demons poured out of the Dark Portal for the first time in 500 years. Caught off guard, some of the realms were immediately taken over by the demons, others fought and are still fighting for their lives.

Now, a group of warriors have entered the land of Astroine, all that remains of the once-great Ren'Shada.
